Hannah Kaye, MSW, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in North Carolina. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from UNC-Greensboro & North Carolina A&T State University's Joint Master of Social Work (JMSW program) in 2017.

I have practiced therapy in many different forms including individual, group, and couples therapy.

In our sessions, you can expect a safe space where you’ll be able to experience the support you need to cope with an overcome life's challenges and move onward and upward in the direction you want to go.

I enjoy spending time outside with my husband and friends, running where it is nice and flat, practicing yoga, playing with my two small dogs, and reading (preferably with a mug of tea when it's raining outside.)

Make your mental health a priority and schedule your free 10-minute phone consultation with me today.

about

My Approach

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches that are scientifically indicated to promote healing, and I will always tailor therapy to you as a unique individual. My goal is to create an atmosphere of trust, empathy, and safety. You are the expert in yourself, bringing a lifetime of experience to the role, and I see my role as walking beside you on your journey to peace and success.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based practice that examines the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Gottman Therapy for Couples

I have completed 2 levels of training in Gottman Therapy.  Gottman therapy is an evidence-based couples therapy to help couples reconnect, learn effective communications skills, and move forward.

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is one of the gold standard treatments for trauma and PTSD.  I use virtual EMDR to help your brain reprocess and grow from traumatic events.  I am pursuing EMDR certification and have completed EMDR training.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a great therapy for people looking to learn new, very concrete skills to manage overwhelming emotions like depression, anxiety, or anger.
